Volunteering roles

One on One match

The volunteer role in a one on one match are many and varied. They range from friendship, mentoring, coaching for skill development and providing respite for families.

Each child and family has different needs, goals and interests so we work to get to know every volunteer so we can link you with a child and family with similar interests and with whom we feel you will have a positive, rewarding relationship.

Volunteers are matched to assist children and young people participate in a range of recreation, leisure, sporting or cultural activities in the community that reflect their interests and preferences.

Recreation

Recreation volunteers assist with specific events and activities with our Recreational Programs. The role of a volunteer may include meeting and greeting attendees, providing refreshments, encouraging participation in group activities, leading activities, developing skills and creating a fun environment. The role also assists staff with the supervision, behaviour support and personal care of activity participants where needed.

Professional / Pro bono Volunteering

Living with a disability can be difficult. We support people aged 0-30 and their families in Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula to build friendships and connect with their community.
