How Extended Families can help

Extended Families programs enable children and young adults to experience new activities, develop new skills, and make new friends while feeling connected to the community.

We have been supporting children and young people with disabilities and their families since 1978.  Our staff today have a vast range of experience in disability, social inclusion and recreational program development. We are community inclusion specialists, with dedicated staff who can help you feel confident to make the most of your NDIS plan and have the support you want.

Our individualised, creative, community based programs and activities for children and young adults set us apart, as does our embracing volunteers and a family centred approach.

We have Support Coordinators that understand the NDIS system and will help you to manage and implement a plan that will address your current and future needs and goals.

Our programs facilitate:

• Development of skills, confidence, friendship and independence
• Participation in sport and recreation
• Participating in volunteer work
• Life stage transitions
• The management and implementation of a NDIS Plan

Support to manage your NDIS plan

Information Sessions Extended Families shares their experience of working with the NDIS to help you make the most of your NDIS Plan. You are invited to attend an information session, being held every three months in the roll out areas. Phone 9355 8848 or email us to attend a session
