Funding success sees continuation and expansion of popular program
Extended Families is very pleased to announce we have been awarded a substantial grant through the NDIS Information, Linkages and Capacity Building Program to continue and expand collaborative work we have been undertaking with Vietnamese Families with Special Needs (vfsn.org.au) in support of Vietnamese children and young adults living with a disability.
We have been awarded $733,549 over two years. This funding will be used to expand the Vươn lên (VL) Peer Group Program for young people with Autism and to develop the Tham Gia School Holiday Program for children and young people with a disability. The funding will also used to support the development and implementation of planned organisational capacity building activities for the VFSN.
In the Vietnamese language, Vươn lên means To Rise and Tham Gia means To Participate. We look forward to working with the VFSN, Extended Families staff and the wider community to launch these programs in early 2022!
